District-Level Visioning & Action Planning workshop on CLTS (April 17-19, 2017):

Feedback Foundation has been appointed as an expert agency by the Government of West Bengal & UNICEF to provide technical assistance in the implementation of ‘Mission Nirmal Bangla’ in the Bankura and Purulia Districts of West Bengal. Ajay Sinha, CEO, Feedback Foundation facilitated comprehensive one-day stakeholder planning-cum-visioning workshops in the two districts. These were followed by a District-Level Visioning & Action Planning Workshop on Community Led Total Sanitation approach which was attended by more than 250 Zila Parishad Presidents,  MLAs, SBM coordinators, District-level officials, BDOs, selected Pradhans, members from local NGOs and other stake holders. Officials from the State Government, Development Experts and representatives from UNICEF also attended the workshop.


Multi-Stakeholder Consultation Meet (March 17, 2017): 

A multi-stakeholder consultation meet on “Challenges and way forward towards enabling sustainable sanitation and healthy communities” was organised by Water For People India Trust in collaboration with ITC “Mission Sunehara Kal” project in Kolkata. In this meet, Ajay Sinha shared his thoughts on “CLTS- Amalgamation of Swachh Bharat Mission’” and gave his expert views and ideas.


Celebrating ODF status with a Candle March:

In Chatra District, all the GPs under Gidhour and Pathalgada blocks became ODF in Jharkhand Swachh Bharat Mission- Rural. Villagers in Gidhour celebrated the occasion with candle march. They lighted 1501 candles and took oath to never practice open defecation. Village Head, Rajesh Kumar Dago and other members of Panchayat, BDO and political leaders also participated in the candle march. Village Head thanked people for their support and motivated them to maintain their cooperation in this mission and help in making their panchayat disease free.


Mass Triggering of 2 lakh people (February 23, 2017):

At this unique event, two lakh people were triggered by our facilitator in Baghi Dham, Dumra block in the Sitamarhi district of Bihar. Baba Ramayanga Dash ji Maharaj along with a huge number of devotees (who were participating in Vishwa Shanti Sri Sitaram Yajna) were present during the triggering process. All the devotees assured that they will stop open defecation and will construct their own toilets by March 2017. This mass triggering not only inspired the devotees to resolve to stop open defecation, but also became a part of the daily preaching by Baba Ramayanga Dash ji Maharaj.
